Nzoia Sugar Company Training Squad Members

Nzoia Sugar company, the main sponsors of Nzoia Sugar Fc is currently giving squad members an opportunity to work within the company by training them on various jobs.

A program started with the blessings of the Company’s CEO CPA Cde Micheal Wanjala MAKOKHA has seen five players helping out the company in various capacities within different sections and departments.

Assistant captain Kevin Juma, one of the beneficiaries, is currently working in the Public Relation’s Department as a Publicity Officer. “I am very grateful for the opportunity given to me by the company under the leadership of CPA Cde Micheal Wanjala MAKOKHA and Madam Florence Mutinda. I am currently learning new things about the company and how to make our company visible to the entire nation,” said the Diploma in Business Administration Student. Kevin is our combative Central Defensive Midfielder nicknamed “Chekulo”

Veteran Midfielder Edgar Nzano has also benefited from the program. Nzano, a Bachelor’s Degree Graduate in ICT, serves as The Webmaster for the company and also The Acting Network’s Administrator in the company. “I attribute everything in my life to Nzoia Sugar Company. It has fed me, clothed me and schooled me and I am now happy to serve the company. I have been in the ICT Department since 2018 and I have learnt a lot under the guidance of The ICTM Mr. Suleiman Wanekeya and I thank The MD CPA Cde Micheal Wanjala MAKOKHA  for being willing to take us as a part of the Nzoia Sugar Company fraternity.”

Others are veteran Peter Gin Juma, Humphrey Katasi and Benson Mangala.

Speaking about the coming season, they both expressed optimism for a brighter and better season in the top flight. “The last season was one that i would wish to forget forever,” said Nzano. “Everything was in shambles. We lost games we did not not deserve to lose and drawn games that were sure wins. But in everything we thank God. We have young players like Ian Simiyu, Elisha Wekesa and John Wafula who are coming through the ranks and we know that next year we will be more competitive and who knows, with proper planning and good match strategies we will win the league.”
