Nzoia Sugar FC moved up with three points after a thrilling 3-2 victory in an away match played against Posta Rangers at Kasarani Annex Stadium in Nairobi on Wednesday 25th April 2023.

Babu’s side which has been in the hunt for the KPL Cup took the lead in the 6th minute through Joseph Mwangi who lobbed the ball past the advancing Brandon Obiero, the goal saw Mwangi stretch his tally to thirteen goals in the season.

The opponent did not waste a chance as they equalized in the thirteenth minute and took an early lead in the 24th minute through Calvin Odongo.

In the 61st minute Nzoia’s search for the equalizer was realised when Ken Owino brought Stephen Otieno down in the area forcing the centre referee to point to the spot. Mwangi was up to the task that saw the ball through the net.

Alfred Tanui rose from the substitute bench to net the winning goal, any hopes of a come back by the moment was extinguished in the 2nd half.

Nzoia Sugar takes on Talanta FC on Wednesday 3rd May 2023 at Sudi Stadium.
